I’m Jade, a journalist-turned-humanitarian-turned strategic communications professional. I have over a decade of experience spanning media, diplomacy, and digital storytelling across the Asia-Pacific.
Most recently, I led regional communications for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, supporting operations across 16 countries including Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific. My work focused on building public engagement strategies that connect global issues with local audiences, from crisis response and stakeholder outreach to social media, narrative development, and high-level advocacy.
My background is in political journalism and international relations. I bring deep regional insight and a strong understanding of cross-cultural communication, along with a sharp sense of how strategic messaging can drive real-world impact. I’ve led content development across platforms and sectors, often taking ideas from concept to delivery.
Academically, I hold a Master of Middle Eastern and Central Asian Studies from the Australian National University, a Graduate Certificate in International Relations and National Security, and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and International Relations from Curtin University. This academic grounding complements my field experience and supports my work at the intersection of policy, media, and public engagement.
I’m based between Indonesia and Australia. I’m open to regional or remote roles that blend creativity, strategy, and public engagement, particularly where people, policy, and technology meet.
